Corporate Venture Alliances, LLC (CVA) acting as principal or intermediary, initiates transactions which build enterprise value.
These involve forming business relationships and joint ventures between well established corporations, and venture backed technology start-ups, where CVA has developed relationships. These tech transactions provide for reinvestment by the corporation and often are affected by making acquisitions. They are made in lieu of shareholder distributions. CVA sources niche investment opportunities based on the knowledge and operating experience of its principals. In predecessor firms, CVA principals led or co-led early-stage venture capital investment from 1997 to 2014, and with partners, from 1975 to 1997. CVA's principals generated $2.6 billion in divestment proceeds from these initiated transactions.
